Ski-Orienteering Saturday at Steamboat Ski Touring CenterSaturday, March 13th from 10 AM - 1 PM there will be a Ski Orienteering Event at the Touring Center put on by the Rocky Mountain Orienteering Club. This is a low-key opportunity to fine tune your map reading, compass and navigation skills while on skis and is open to all -- $12 adults, $3 kids. Call us at 879-8180 for more information.
The Rocky Mountain Orienteering Club and the Steamboat Springs Nordic Council are sponsoring an instruction to Ski Orienteering at Steamboat Ski Touring Center.
Ski Orienteering involves the skills of cross country skiing, map and compass reading with the goal of finding specified control points and getting back home.
This event is for everyone! Cross Country skiers who want an introduction to a new cross sport, back country skiers and travelers who need to develop their skills in map and compass use, and experienced oreinteers who want to get out and test their skills for the day.
