STEAMBOAT NORDIC CHALLENGE RACE #1
HOWELSEN HILL CRITERIUM
DECEMBER 20 2006
1. This event will be a criterium format
2. There are 3 courses.
a. 1.7 kilometer course for the competitive racers.
b. 1.1 kilometer course for the recreational skiers
c. 1.1 kilometer course for the junior racers.
3. Please register in advance at the Steamboat Ski Touring Center or at the race site from 4 to 5:30 pm at the race site. NO LATE ENTRY¡¦S WILL BE ACCEPTED
4. THE RACE FORMAT
ľ Skiers will ski freestyle in the competitive division
ľ Skiers in the classic style will ski the Recreational course.
ľ This will be a timed event as follows
i. Junior Racers will ski 1 lap of the Recreational course
ii. Recreational racers will ski 10 minutes + 1 lap
iii. Competitive racers will ski 20 minutes + 1 lap
ľ All racers will be placed for points on the leaders final lap
ľ Start and finish will be at the rodeo grounds
5. All racer must have there numbers visible in the FRONT to receive a time
6. RACE TIMES
Junior 6:00 PM
Recreational Division 6:15 PM
Competitive Division 6:35 PM
7. RACE POINTS
Points will be based on the individual placing in their respective race category
POST RACE PARTY WILL BE ANNONCED AT THE RACE WITH A RAFFLE GIVE AWAY.
