Ski Haus 15K Classic Race
at Catamount Touring Center
January 26, 2008
Race starts @ 10 am.
Inaugural Ski Haus Classic Only Race
$10 entry fee includes a race t-shirt. Register at Ski Haus or at the
Catamount Touring Center's Outfitter Cabin the morning of the race.
Beginners, Intermediates, Experts welcome. Ski on your old woody skis,
no-wax skis, touring skis, or race skis. The only requirement is that you
Classic ski! No skating today... Come for a casual ski with fellow striders
or bring your game face for a race pace test of endurance.
Raffle style drawing for prizes right after the race. Generous donations
from Ski Haus, BAP!, Honey Stinger, Vino, Smartwool, Backcountry Provisions,
Big Shooter Coffee Shop, and Swix. No one will leave empty handed. A good
effort will be rewarded!
2 Race Courses:
1. Competive Course is approx 15K. Start will be across the road. Loops
include Baldy, Pleasant Valley, Elk Crossing, The Bluffs and back down to
the start/finish line. Ski all the loops and Connector trail clockwise.
2. Less Competive Course is approx 7K. Same start at across the road. Ski
the Connector Trail to the Pleasant Valley Loop (clockwise) reconnect with
the Connector back to the start/finish line.
