North Routt Coureur des Bois Lodging

The race course start and finish, as well as the post race party and awards, are located in Hahn’s Peak Village about 26 miles north of Steamboat Springs. You can either stay in Steamboat and travel to Hahn’s Peak the morning of the event (allow at least 45 minutes) or stay near the race area.

In Steamboat there are many lodging options. Steamboat Resorts is offering a special for Coureur des Bois participants at one of their properties. Make sure to let them know you are a Coureur des Bois competitor or support person.

Race venue lodging is also available, but may be limited. The map below lists lodging near the Hahn’s Peak. To get to Clark and Hahn’s Peak you travel 2 miles west on Highway 40 out of Steamboat and then turn right on HWY 129. From the turn off it is 18 miles to Clark and 24 miles to Hahn’s Peak Village. The road is generally in good shape, but allow 45-60 minutes to get to Hahn’s Peak and the race start. If you are coming from out of town consider spending Friday and Saturday nights so you can relax a little and recover after the event. Or hang around and ski at Steamboat Lake on Sunday.
